Our area was hit with more storms over the weekend.  We live in Virginia so it’s not like we are in tornado alley....however we sure have had some nasty storms.  A few weeks ago a tornado did blow through (within a few miles from my house). 

Yesterday’s storm is being called a ”microburst”. Nonetheless, it knocked out our power for over 6 hours last night and did a lot of damage to our area.  Thankfully I’m married to an electrician, so we had power (thank you generator).  Our neighbors were jealous

Conversation with Brianna this morning…

B:  Mommy, I’m going to put this crown on this barbie bride and she’ll be a princess bride!
Me:  That will look pretty.
B:  Yeah and the boy she’s going to marry is going to be HOT.
Me:  HOT?  What does that mean? (wondering who taught my 5 year old about being “Hot")
B:  You know mommy when you cook something and the stove is hot.
Me:  Oh ok.  Why would you call him hot though?
B:  Cause he’s going to marry Barbie, he has to be hot.

Ok then…

I wanted to take a few mintues to wish all of you Mothers or Mothers to be a very Happy Mother’s Day.  Sit back and relax and be waited on.

I’ve had a pretty long stressful week.  Top that off to a 5 yr old who has given me trouble most every day of this week and you know I’m spent.  Yesterday was the breaking point and she sat for the evening in the chair not able to do anything.  She likes to push Mommy’s buttons for sure. *sigh*

I did buy myself my own mother’s day present.  I got a new digital camera.  I just got it yesterday, so I’ve only taken a few photos (which are now on my Flickr page).  I love it.  Since I bought myself something I told my family that I would love for them to HELP me (notice I didn’t say just do it for me) clean the house up so that I’m not always having to do it myself.  I live with such pigs. Why is it so hard for them to pick up after themselves?  I work full time then have to come home to clean and cook.  It’s getting old.  Especially when the kids are well old enough to do a little to help out.  We’ll see how long this lasts…

In other news, I’m needing a change or something.  I really thought by getting my blog into a new format (EE) would help boost my blogging interests.  I DO want to blog and have lots I could blog about, but this blog is a bit too well known for some people.  So maybe a change is in order.  I don’t know.  Even my son has this url I’m sure.  He doesn’t read it, but he could.  Not that I have anything on here that I wouldn’t want him to read, but you know what I mean.  I need an outlet to help release the built up stress in my life.  Suggestions??

I’m going to spend the day with my Mom for Mother’s day.  Mommy’s always make things better.
